The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Old Dominion University seeks applicants to fill a new full-time (10-month) non-tenure track lecturer position in civil engineering commencing in August 2018. The CEE Department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and M.S., M.E., Eng. D., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering with over 350 undergraduate and 120 matriculated graduate students.

Applicants will be expected to possess a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering and have a strong commitment to undergraduate instruction, which might include teaching senior cap-stone design course. Prior industrial experience with PE license and teaching experience are also preferred. The successful applicant should have a strong background and is capable of teaching in the areas of structural engineering, materials and geotechnical engineering.
