The Williston Northampton School, an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Easthampton, Massachusetts seeks dynamic and highly qualified candidates for the position of Assistant/Associate Director of College Counseling. This is a full-time position to begin in January 2018. Responsibilities include advising and supporting students in all aspects of the college selection and admission process, writing recommendations, working with students individually and in small groups, building relationships with parents, and developing and maintaining relationships with colleges and universities. The position includes teaching or coaching, and depending on the interest of the candidate and the needs of the school may include living on campus and working in the residential program.
The successful candidate will possess excellent counseling and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to work with a diverse group of students and parents. A master’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in selective college admissions and/or college guidance are strongly preferred. Driving a school mini-bus is also an expectation of this position. Candidates must successfully complete the state and school mandated CORI, SORI, general background check as well as a fingerprint based criminal background check.
