This role is the Clinical Business Technology Product Owner for the HRA (health risk assessment) program. In this role you will be the central point of product leadership and clearly articulate the technology vision to stakeholders and development teams. The Product Owner is a key member of the overall Agile team for HRA and accountable for driving the Agile mindset for our clinical technology team. This role will require a deep understanding of the HRA domain as well as technical skills to drive out complex solutions. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Lead in a matrix organization by effectively maintaining and building relationships across Business groups Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost effectiveness Facilitate Development of Program level planning either for multiple iterations of a technology release or multi project Business Program Obtain Senior Management Engagement in the Program Planning Process Ensure inter segment SR Management endorsement and support for Program Define and implement tools and methods to be used for Scope Management for all initiatives within a program Facilitate resolution of Program level scope change on initiatives within program Support Initiative scope control process Facilitate Development of Program Roadmap and Timelines Obtain Senior Management Approval on Program Roadmap and Timelines Manage Program Roadmaps and Timelines Resolve Variance from Program execution plans Develop comprehensive and compelling cost benefit analysis Appropriately prioritize initiatives within program based on cost and benefit Require Cost Tracking on all initiatives Interface to segment level budgeting process Obtain Program funding agreement from Senior Management Require project realization planning and execution for all initiatives Require quality assurance plans and methods are implemented for all initiatives Facilitate Risk Management decisions required from Senior Management Monitor and communicate risk management status and contingency implementation to SR Management Develop and Manage Program Communication Plan
Required Qualifications: 15+ years experience with clinical applications and the software development lifecycle15+ years experience with gathering requirements from multiple sources and working to solve for multiple needs15+ years experience in technology with strong analytical and problem solving skills10+ years experience leading a project or program with team oversight5+ years Management experience with direct reports preferably in a matrix environment with telecommutersExperience in previous Product Owner role within an Agile environmentTrained and certified in Agile MethodologiesExperience in managing capital budgets and financial pieces of large software development projectsExperience presenting to executive leadership team (VP and C level)Experience working with IT leadership (Director, VP and C level)Experience leading teams / projects exceeding $6M in budget within the software development lifecycle processHas worked with business users and key leadership stakeholders to gather requirementsExperience working in roles with ambiguity and the need to identify areas of opportunitiesDemonstrated ability to work independently in a matrix environmentDemonstrated ability to work at all levels within a team structureAdvanced skills in PowerPoint Excellent written and communication skills Preferred Qualifications:BA/BS degree in Business, Clinical Fields or related field Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
