Provides training, assistance and direction to assigned APG UnderCar sales force, NAPA D.C.’s and APG Divisional headquarters to obtain maximum sales volume consistent with company objectives.
Plans and communicates sales policies and programs for assigned location. Provides input to APG sales force in order to properly implement all company sales programs, promotions, etc. to ensure maximum sales volumes. Works with assigned customers to ensure APG sales force has training and tools needed to keep up with changing technology, competitive issues, and policy and procedure changes. Provides new hire APG Brake District Sales Managers with initial training related to, but not limited to, product, policy and procedure to include changeovers, warranty, RGN’s, catalogs, reporting programs, pricing programs, etc. Provides direction and monitors reporting program at D.C.
Attends APG Undercar Regional meetings for the purpose of on-going training, updates, monitors needs, communicate policy revisions and changes, etc.
Assist and/or participates with APG UnderCar Group in customer clinics, sales meetings, etc. as needed.
Participate in APG Group, D.C., jobber and installer sales calls in order to stay abreast of market conditions, sales opportunities and problem resolution.
Provides timely feedback to the Brake business unit related to: Product and pricing needs, Competitive trends, information and analysis and Marketing programs and marketing support needs.
Educate and help implement the district managers, NAPA DC, and jobbers; align as a business partner thru education of the business condition and market on brakes, perform business calculations on gross profit margins, educate jobbers on direct ship levels that fits the jobber’s business model, recommend pricing that fits the jobbers competitive area
Reviews and approves all W.D./Jobber changeovers; helps facilitate changeover logistics.
Reviews and approves major warranty claims as directed by product management/technical services.
Helps and assist in the coordination of major customer bids.
Maintains and manages Business Development office: correspondence, sales records, monthly reports, meeting reports and call reports.
Works with the APG UnderCar Regional Manager on the effective implementation of local and regional programs. Responsible for budget, budget control and credit approvals.
Investigates, handles and answers all customer complaints, inquiries and problems in a timely and appropriate manner.
Exercises control over own expenses within business plan limits.
Reviews all policy adjustments and approves all policy adjustments above $250.
Understanding the companies EBITDA along with the company computer platform.
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or four to five years related NAPA and/or brake experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced computer skills
Prior management and budget experience helpful
High energy level and good organizational skills required
