Primary Responsibilities: Possess the capacity and willingness to live by the UHG values; Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation, Performance Accountable to sell Ambulatory Care solutions / services to new and / or existing clients in the Provider market Responsible for individual growth quota to expand and ensure delivery of Optum's solutions within their assigned product or solutions set Sell and / or manage complex solutions spanning Optum's portfolio, inclusive of individual, market and / or enterprise solutions, to existing and prospective clients Possess or develop subject matter expertise and knowledge on Optum solutions / products / services designed to engage consumers, modernize infrastructure and advance care across the health care industry, inclusive of individual, market and / or enterprise solutions Participate in, and at times own / lead, sales process and client engagement through the sale, coordinating with all necessary parties (ex. legal, pricing, finance, etc.) to close a sale Engage, build relationships and sell solutions / services across a variety of client channels, including direct to clients and at times brokers / consultants Cultivate and deepen C - suite and / or complex client relationships Develop consultative relationships and be a trusted advisor to the client to demonstrate how Optum can provide value for the client to meet their objectives and improve the health system Ability to work independently as a strong team player with minimal supervision in a high paced, high intensity environment Ability to collaborate with multiple parts of Optum and UHC in order to efficiently influence sales processes and proposals Communicate and present effectively at multiple audiences and levels (listening, written and verbal communication)
Required Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related area or equivalent work experience 5 years' experience in provider healthcare solution sales Strong experience selling at the C - Suite Level on Revenue Management Services for front, middle or back end provider operations Proven track record of achieving Sales targets within the Provider market on an annual basis Ability to travel extensively - up to 75% travel Ability to work effectively and independently in a flexible, unstructured high intensity, fast paced geographically diverse environment High energy level, positive attitude, output driven and team orientated Demonstrated ability to work effectively with matrix teams and other individuals at varying levels of the organization with a demonstrated ability to create, build, and maintain relationships Superior communication skills - listening, written, and verbal communication Strong strategic thinking and critical thinking skills Demonstrated time - management and execution skills Ability to prioritize and multi - task and to deliver results within short timeframesPreferred Qualifications:Direct experience successfully selling ambulatory / revenue cycle management services and solutions within one of the designated regions HFMA Certification Previous Hospital / Physician Operations experienceCareers with Optum.
