The central product in Massachusetts is Senior Care Options, which fully integrates Medicare and MassHealth services and is designed for the elderly. The product utilizes a high touch clinical model to ensure the unique needs of the underserved elderly are fully understood and the appropriate services and supports are in place to help members to live as independently as possible. RoleResponsibilities:This positionprovides sales leadership and is responsible for the overall attainment ofmonthly, quarterly and annual goals for the Massachusetts Dual Special NeedsPopulation (DSNP) plan (also known as Senior Care Options). You will lead andmanage a sales team, which includes sales managers, sales representatives,business development, and outreach staff. You will have 3-4 sales managers reportingto you. The sales team is highly multi-cultural and the energy and culture ofthe unit needs to support a sense of team, diversity and individual drive anddetermination. There are 30-40 staff plus brokers directly reporting to thisrole. The Sales Director reports directly to the Vice President of Sales, Marketing,and Outreach.Otherresponsibilities include:Managemarket level accountability for all distribution channels to deliver grossmembership expectationsDrivecommunity outreach activities and strategies to identify, develop andmaintain relationships with keycommunity and faith based organizationsEnsureall sales and marketing activities meet CMS compliance expectationsDevelop and implement tactical growth plansRepresentDistribution by participating in the development of strategic sales andmarketing plans through cross-functional collaboration with Local Planleadership as well as National Community Plans leadershipWorkwith provider community to develop joint marketing campaignsDrivemember retention activities to meet plangrowth objectives
Required Qualifications:10+ years experience in Sales and MarketingDemonstrated experience as a sales manager.Strong people skills with ability to motivate and drive a team to work with inspiration and independenceMust have or be able to obtain appropriate state licensure, as soon as possible, not to exceed 90 daysProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors Degree Experience with Medicare, DSNP, Medicaid Managed Care or Health InsuranceCareers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
