This position requires very strong technical and analytical skills and the ability to manage concurrent assignments with tight deadlines. The individual must be able to exercise independent judgment in determining the scope of assignments and collaborate with other team members to support department goals. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Keep abreast of changes in the standards, technologies or methodologies Oversee day-to-day ETL processes–job monitoring, issue identification, documentation, analysis and resolution Respond to production issues in a timely manner for a number of critical deliverables related to daily and month-end reporting to UHG business and regulators Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed Provide effective client communication during regular updates and escalating when appropriate Work with technology project teams to implement new functionality to support business needs and ensure long-term supportability Identify and constructively communicate the need for improvements or enhancements in UDW technology to improve stability and efficiency Drive completion of projects and initiatives, follow through on execution of strategies and demonstrate ability to stay the course despite obstacles Perform special projects as defined by leaders Participate in the "on call" rotation
Required Qualifications:Have a good understanding of data warehouse concept 5+ years of experience of ETL using IBM Data stage 5+ years of experience with Teradata 1- 2 years of experience using TWS schedule tool Must be comfortable in a fast paced team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications:Experience with data warehouse operations ETL development experience Project management experience Experience operating in an agile environment Technology Careers with Optum.
