The Contracts Advisor will be required to have a thorough understanding of unconventional resource operations, technologies, related services, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and contract procurement. The candidate will also have a working knowledge of unconventional resource markets and dynamics. In addition, the candidate will have a detailed understanding of unconventional resource services, materials, customer applications and requirements.
This Contracts Advisor will ensure that Unconventional Resources requirements are incorporated for common categories managed by the Saudi Aramco Legacy Supply Chain. The candidate will coordinate with category managers in the Saudi Aramco legacy organization on activities relating to demand management and supplier relationship management.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates are required to meet the following minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent level of education.
Procurement certification is desirable.
Contracts Advisor - Oil & Gas Operator experience a must
More than five years of category management or procurement experience.
Extensive Major Capital Project Contracting Development and Management experience.
Expert in setting up and managing a category within a supply chain organization.
Advanced knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
Experience working in a matrix environment and on cross-functional teams.
Knowledge in SAP or equivalent system.
Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken. Arabic language skills are a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidates will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:-
Assist with the development of contracting strategies and plans, undertake market analysis and bid document preparation, issues bids, manages supplier clarification, assist in evaluation and negotiation activities, and prepare and coordinates contract documentation for award.
Assists in contract mobilizations, and undertakes administration and management of a range of project contracts, including Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPC/EPCI/EPCM) contracts, Upstream, Unconventional Resources related services such as Drilling, Completions, Stimulation (Frac), Cementing, Directional Drilling, Wireline (LWD/MWD)], and preparation and administration of all smaller third party contracts. Establishes and maintains interfaces with key stakeholders of the project
Ensure UR requirements are incorporated during the development of category strategies and plans by the Saudi Aramco Legacy Category Managers and assisting Aramco Legacy Managers in :- Defining scopes of work. Recommending potential supply markets specific to UR. Preparation of requests for proposals or qualifications. Negotiation and vendor selection. Implementation of new agreements and onboarding of vendors.
Participate in demand forecasting process for relevant categories.
Manage supplier relationship management activities such as vendor performance management.
