It's the opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) The role of the Business Analyst is to provide project management, general ledger and bank account reconciliation and operational support. Qualified candidates will assist the AP leadership with driving continuous improvements, general maintenance of the financial applications, manage on-going business and systems projects and perform monthly account reconciliations. Primary Responsibilities:Account Reconciliations: Ensure all Bank and GL account reconciliations are completed within the required deadliness System Management and support - assist with all tools issues that arise. This includes but is not limited to system administration tasks and user training where appropriate Project Management and Support - Drive Process Development for Accounts Payable function, through identification and resolution of process / system gaps Collaborates with BA team in the US to ensure consistent support and prioritization of AP system issues and enhancements globally Actively contribute to the continued integration of new business entities Project Planning - establish and gain agreement on project tasks, delivery times and resources required etc. Project education and communication to the business customers Complete IT / UAT testing [process / systems] as required Supports documentation of policies and procedures, maintains EMEA AP web site and provides training and support to AP team and users of AP systems and services Supports Procure-to-Pay policies and procedures, interfacing with Enterprise Sourcing and Procurement Ensures compliance with Company and local country policies and procedures Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Extensive experience in business/finance analysis collecting, analyzing, and presenting data and recommendations to management Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Self-starter: who pursues work with energy, drive, and who can work under own initiative Degree in Accounting or Finance Goal oriented individual, who understands importance of deadlines and can drive to complete a task within those agreed deadlines Strong communication [written, oral, and presentation] skills - ability to communicate and influence a broad audience base Demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes Team player: who can organise and drive cross group collaboration; by setting mutual goals, ensuring clarity of roles, and working together in ways which enhance business effectiveness Drive for results and timelines: Continually focuses on achieving positive, concrete results contributing to UnitedHealth Group's business success PeopleSoft experience a distinct advantage Concur experience a distinct advantage Previous experience working for a multi-national company in a shared services environment Careers at UnitedHealth Group.
