Project Manager - Claims Operations - Multiple Locations or Telecommute

Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) To lead, manage, and facilitate the Polaris Claim Domain project implementation through the duration of the project program across all operating Platforms and Functional Domains, including but not limited to; Claims and Billing, Clinical, Provider Network, Case Install, Constituent Services, Fulfilment, Reporting and Analytics. Position will work collaboratively to plan, coordinate, and execute efforts between various Business areas, IT Application Support Groups and segment platforms acting as a Product Owner in our Agile environment. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Product Owner overseeing multiple Claim Domain initiatives that intersect with other domains through the duration of the Polaris project - monitor for timeline progress, issues, risks and resourcing Product Owner leadership in project plan development, IRAAD development and establishing project weekly and / or biweekly meeting agendas Comfortable being hands on building new technologies, new business processes, and new operational support materials Monitor development or revision of project technologies to be utilized by the Polaris Claim Domain Conduct regular meetings with all WorkStream leads across the Polaris program on progress and strategy Conduct weekly and / or biweekly meetings with all Product Owners related to specific efforts on project status Lead strategy assessment, development and / or revision for specific project elements Serve as a primary resource and subject matter expert related to Claim Domain project efforts. Assist in the development and training of any required procedures and policies to ensure understanding in project business requirements across Operations Support Claim Domain efforts around strategy meetings, agenda development, meeting & materials preparation, presentation development Monitor issues and risks - develop contingency or mitigation plans Provide weekly project status reporting Assist in process flow mapping as the Product Owner Utilize Agile and Lean processes in the Project Management and Program Management process Conduct process analysis to increase Claim Domain overall performance and consistency across all Functional Domains Lead and support release activity for any assigned project Serve as process expert to identify and approve process changes impacting the Claim Domain operations Own Operational Readiness: Identify Operational training requirements for release activity across impacted business areas Identify P&P updates and creation of new documentation across impacted business areas Identify necessary announcements and communications relating to milestones and implementations25% travel is required (if you live outside of the Eden Prairie / Minnetonka area). Travel expense paid by the company. Travel would include leaving Monday morning and returning late Thursday; work from home on any days you are not traveling
Required Qualifications:BA / BS degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of Project Management 1+ year of Agile 6 months or more of Claims Experience Proactive problem solver and critical thinker with excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to communicate diplomatically with colleagues and clients from various functional areas Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Power Point) Proven Project Management experience, including proficiency with Microsoft Project Proven experience driving change in the operation and proving the success of change management controls Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with Operations leaders and other internal and external audiencesPreferred Qualifications:Claim Cross Domain experience PMP Prior experience in Claim Operations End - to - End Prior experience in Polaris UHG organizational system and policy knowledge Prior experience developing innovation programs for Claim Operations Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
