Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The RN Coordinator is a member of the care delivery team. The RN Coordinator is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The RN Coordinator has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care. The RN Coordinator manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the RN Coordinator encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The RN Coordinator establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The RN Coordinator demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession. ***Must have flexibility to work either an 8, 10 or 12 - hour shift*** Primary Responsibilities:Provides appropriate updates, instructions and patient education information to patient and familyConsult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans Modify patients' nursing care plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditionsMaintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information as observed by peers and managementAttends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory complianceAttends all required department-specific education and training programs and can describe his / her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job related hazardsPerform other duties as assignedCollaborates with other departments to create systems and problem issues that impact departmental / organizational goals and/or patient care delivery
Required Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Texas 3+ years of Operating Room/Surgical Services RN experience BLS, ACLS and PALS (ER Only) are requiredPreferred Qualifications:1+ years of OR Clinical Supervisory experience strongly preferred ENPC and TNCC are preferred for ER Careers with Optum.
