This position is responsible for understanding how clinical tools support the clinical operations, conducting business analysis on the overall user experience, documenting workflow interfaces and assessing impacts to process management. Work within UHC Clinical Business Enablement on large technology programs to improve and enable care for our members.Primary Responsibilities: Overall responsibility and accountability for analyzing the impact to the end to end clinical process of new technology development and/or deployment. Responsible for the analysis of the clinical user experience and workflow interfaces. Assess and analyze data and data requirements across multiple systems in a combined requirement for analytics and reportingAnalyze the clinical user experiences including workflow interfaces process change management and technology requirement documentation in support of the Business Solutions strategic plans as determined by the Director of Clinical Business Solutions and program leadershipIdentify applicable technical and business stakeholders, using appropriate Stakeholder Analysis tools/approaches (e.g., RACI, SIPOC)Conduct current state analysis to gather current business processes, business rules and policies and contractual and regulatory constraints (i.e., "as-is"state)Document derived future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., "to-be" process maps) for business operations Participate/drive the process of gathering of detailed business, functional and non-functional requirementsAdhere to established project lifecycle standards/requirements (e.g., SDLC, UDP, RSA, ADR, OSAM requirements)Gather/participate/document information needed for the definition of requirements (e.g., business use cases, user stories)Provide and participate in scenarios for user acceptance testing for workflow interfacesSupport a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost effectiveness
Required Qualifications: Analytics and reporting experience to include data validation3+ years prior business solutions or business process documentation experienceExperience in successfully working on large-scale technology projects -- including multiple integrated business areas or systemsExperience working in Agile development environments/projectsSolid communication (written and verbal) and listening skillsSense of urgency and ownership for resolving issuesAnalytical and problem solving skills with ability to grasp new ideas and productsIntermediate MS ExcelAbility to manage multiple competing priorities and tasksAbility to effectively represent Clinical Solutions on business task forces/projects Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Clinical experience to include clinical systems and operations knowledge SQL experience – writing queries and performing data analytics Ability to build and maintain strong customer and internal relationships Prior telecommuting experienceUnderstands the relationship of product design and constituent experienceAction oriented, focus on results not effortStrong process and workflow engineering skillsUnderstands goals, operating principles, strategies and competitive position of UHGStrong healthcare knowledge, understands important trendsKnowledge of both payer and provider clinical operationsUnitedHealth Group is a Fortune 6 company with powerful resources to help make health care better for everyone.
