Title: Student Development Coordinator (Reports to the Director of Student and Alumni Affairs)
Cara’s mission is to unlock power and purpose within ourselves and our communities. We prepare and inspire motivated individuals to transform their lives and forge paths to real and lasting success through gainful employment. Since 1991, Cara has placed thousands of individuals into career path jobs at one-year retention rates consistently above 70%.
The Student Development Coordinator is responsible for driving students’ growth and development in their self-directed job searches using the efforts of student-facing volunteers. With the support of the Transitional Jobs Manager, and in close collaboration with the Individual Engagement Manager, the Student Development Coordinator facilitates the training, scheduling, retention, recognition, and other logistics of student-facing volunteers throughout the enterprise. The Student Development Coordinator is the first point of contact for volunteers (Career Coach, Interview Coach, and Portfolio Coach) who work to drive growth in socio-emotional skills and job search outcomes for our students. Another focus is that student-facing volunteers have fulfilling experiences with the structure and tools necessary to contribute real value to Cara’s mission.
