As a Business Process Consultant, you'll be a critical member of our business analysis team helping to rewrite the future of UnitedHealth Group. You'll lead the charge, taking the contributions of analysts and creating valuable solutions to improve the health care system. This role is within UHC C&S Operations - Encounters & Business Intelligence team under the UnitedHealth Care Community and State business. The Encounter Initiatives team works with Encounter Program management team to understand various challenges they face, day in and day out, to meet the Medicaid state and internal goals. The team then works with various upstream teams, such as, but not limited to, Provider, Claims and Vendors to address issue from the root.Primary Responsibilities:Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data, reviewing the analysis and interpretation of others' workSupport short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysisDevelop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processesProcess improvement for efficiency of work. The trickiest part of this job? You'll need to spot new trends in large amounts of data from multiple sources. You'll be expected to help simplify cumbersome processes, exploit advanced data analytics and resolve problems while adapting to change quickly.
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in the following areas:- Data & report analysis- Business/finance, including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data storage structures - Working with relational databases and database structures - Gathering and documenting requirements from the client/business-Intermediate level of proficiency with automated database management systems required (Excel, PowerPoint) Intermediate SQL – writing and analyzing SQL queriesIntermediate understanding of Medicaid claimsAbility to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to the business in writing and verballyAbility to problem solve multiple priorities and conflicting research and/or inaccurate data Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related fieldIntermediate MS Access2+ years' experience in the Medicaid health care industry UnitedHealth Group is a Fortune 6 company with powerful resources to help make health care better for everyone.
