Performs complex design and project management on a large variety of projects acting as lead or support for prime and sub consultant work with minimal oversight by client or Milhouse Engineering management. Typical design work includes site civil work and relates calculations, drainage and related calculations, storm water management, transportation, underground utilities including plan and profile development, water and wastewater process and systems. Participates in the creation of standards, the management of subordinate staff design reviews and stamping of plans.
The candidate will be required to manage pipeline projects that meet and exceed our client’s expectations.
This requires a high level of knowledge and experience working with pipeline design codes and safety requirements including ASME B31.4 & B31.8 as well as 49 CFR Parts 192 & 195.
The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate project scope with clients and local municipalities.
They must participate in project scoping, cost estimates, and provide review and guidance for design plans, material selection, constructability, and calculations.
This individual must provide subject matter expertise and technical development to staff and associated team members.

10 plus years of Civil/Mechanical Engineering Experience (Pipeline/Utilities Preferred)
Professional Engineering License
B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, Metallurgical or equivalent Engineering form a US based ABET accredited institution
Leadership skills needed to supervise and provide technical expertise to internal junior and mid-level gas/pipeline engineers
Excellent problem solving and decision making
Proficient with computers in an engineering environment including MS Office products
Must be a good communicator (oral and written) and possess strong human relation skills
Ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision
Must be familiar with the production of design and construction documents including alignment sheets, P&ID drawings and specifications.
Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive project deadlines
