As a member of the Undergraduate Admissions team, this position is responsible for developing a Transfer Receptive Culture between The College of Saint Rose and the community colleges, both locally and nationally, positioning The College of Saint Rose as a premier transfer destination. In this position, the Associate Director is expected to develop a strategic communication plan, supply time sensitive decisions and evaluations to students, as well as build community support in order to meet and exceed the transfer enrollment goals.
Recruit within an assigned travel territory and develop new transfer markets to increase enrollment and meet overall enrollment goals. Regularly visit community colleges to establish, develop and nurture these relationships. Create and execute a multi-dimensional recruitment plan for assigned territory, included but not limited to travel, advisor in residence, information table, group information sessions, social media, individual appointments and online appointments. Monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies in targeted territories and yield management.
With the Director of Transfer Enrollment create and maintain a comprehensive targeted transfer communication plan. Update and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for targeted transfer messages.
Serve as a source of information for transfer students with regard to transfer credit issues, policies and practices. This includes communicating with and advising newly admitted transfer students regarding their transfer credits and degree completion requirements; providing students with official and unofficial credit evaluations.
Meet and counsel prospective applicants in one on one meetings and larger groups. Provide information about the admissions and academic opportunities at the college.
Attend Open House and Accepted Student Days.
Co-chair Tau Sigma, the transfer honors society.
Find opportunities to coordinate Saint Rose faculty presentations and interactions with transfer counselors/faculty/students at community colleges to discuss Saint Rose programs and encourage enrollment.
Be an active member in transfer professional organizations, New York State Transfer & Articulation Association (NYSTAA), New England Transfer Association (NETA) and transfer organizations in assigned territory.
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of college admissions experience. Proven experience working with the transfer population preferred.
Excellent oral and written communications skills- successful experience in public speaking/delivering presentations. Experience in interpreting and communicating academic policies, procedures and practices related to the matriculation of transfer students in baccalaureate programs.
Ability to analyze data and develop successful plans and meet established quantitative goals.
Strong work habits including high energy, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively.
Self-motivated/attention to detail, possess a customer service orientation
Ability to work in a fast passed environment and handle several projects simultaneously; attention to detail and deadlines required.
Intermediate level skills with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, Target X, Salesforce and Banner.
Demonstrated capability to maintain proprietary information in a secure, professional and confidential manner.
Self-motivated/attention to detail and possess a customer service orientation.
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary.
