The ASU Identity Management Office (IDMO) is looking for a Business Analyst Sr to serves as a liaison between a business area and Information Security Office (ISO) teams; assists with review, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of business systems that manage user identities and access controls for various databases and applications. This role serves as the functional owner for certain IDMO business processes and technology. The selected candidate for this position will work in the Information Security Office to help address the technology and security needs and requests related to core systems, and web applications at ASU. This entails working closely with customers, gathering information, designing solutions, drafting requirements, writing specifications, working with a Project Manager, understanding the enterprise systems, helping to develop and execute test plans and assisting technical staff to build and deploy technology solutions.

Documents end user requirements utilizing a variety of methods including, but not limited to: interviews, requirement elicitation meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis to ensure thorough understanding and documentation of all aspects associated with request
Provides business functional support in the areas of PeopleSoft security, Campus Community, Salesforce profiles/permission, bio-demographical data management, computer account services and other identity management functions
Facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas; elicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, site visits, business process reviews, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis. Reviews draft with requestor(s) to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
Manages projects (as needed) for a core functional areas by monitoring requirements, communicating and monitoring implementation plans and project issues to help ensure completion of all project tasks in a timely manner and applies approved project methods, standards and processes to reduce total cost of ownership by applying best practices
Serves as liaison between the functional project team, the technology support organization and vendors
Assists in development and execution of test plans; works closely and in conjunction with technical staff, Quality Assurance, Release Management and customers during build and implementation of solutions as well as provides input on application testing and coordinates performance of tests
Works directly with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Application Developers and Customers to ensure requirements are achieved and successfully implemented
Maintains knowledge of structure and location of various available data sources to assist in creation of queries and applications utilizing that data and performs administrative support of applications
Serves as Liaison between functional project team, technology support organization and vendors to ensure timely, complete and accurate communication of status and progress
Creates and develops roles, access processes and revocation processes specific to business security requirements and risks and coordinates security design
Trains end users and provide support to end-users through on-call assistance and problem resolution as needed
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM; to include some evenings and weekends based on project needs
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND six (6) years of experience in procedural, management or systems analysis work; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/ or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Demonstrated knowledge of higher education administrative systems and related business principles, methods and procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of security processes, access management functions and business risk evaluation
Demonstrated knowledge of working with SaaS business systems and integrations experience (Cloud, AWS)
Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and writing queries against relational databases
Demonstrated knowledge of Java, web application design, and application design
Demonstrated knowledge of Salesforce, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Campus Community, PeopleSoft Security roles and role request processes
Demonstrated knowledge of mobile application domains
Demonstrated knowledge of forms design and procedures development
Demonstrated knowledge of workflow/process flow diagramming and documentation
Demonstrated knowledge of ITSM foundations
Experience in communicating complex material both verbally and in writing
Experience in creating and implementing application governing processes
Experience in performing technical/specification writing and documentation
Experience in organizing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Experience in analyzing complex problems
Experience in creating conceptual solutions that are technically feasible within current system constraints
Experience in clearly explaining concrete processes and abstract concepts both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences with varying understanding and/or knowledge of parameters, requirements and/or constraints involved.
Experience in performing effectively as a member of a team
Experience in working in an environment subject to tight deadlines, potentially quickly changing and conflicting priorities
