With responsibility for leading Corporate Communications strategy and execution for the Washington-Baltimore region of a Fortune 500 company, the Communications Manager serves the communications needs the business in one of the country's most dynamic markets. The primary responsibilities of this position include providing executive/internal communications strategy, counsel and execution; overseeing PR strategy and execution, including oversight for an external PR firm; integrating social media and PR strategy for maximum impact with key audiences; and providing on-going analysis and evaluation of results metrics.
This position will handle day-to-day employee communications for the region, including responsibility for the regional Employee Intranet and email communications, as well as executive presentations. In support of these responsibilities, this position requires digital and design skills including a working knowledge of HTML; a high-level understanding of and ability to work in complex Microsoft Outlook templates; intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and InDesign; and strong PPT skills. Some experience working in SharePoint is preferred.
This position serves as a key member of CBRE's Americas Communications team, responsible for executing the company's Americas PR, internal comms and social media strategy at the regional level. Candidates should be full of ideas and energy—able to work seamlessly with a highly-motivated group of marketing, research, management and sales professionals, and able to create and execute on opportunities that position our organization and our professionals as experts and thought leaders. This is a high profile role—both internally and externally—that requires a high level of professionalism and business acumen.
Commercial real estate industry experience is strong preferred. The position reports to the Regional Director of Marketing, with matrix reporting to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications for the Americas Region.
Provide communications strategy for the Washington-Baltimore region, including providing sound, executive communications counsel and support to regional leadership.
Develop and implement internal communications strategy in support of regional business goals.
Develop and execute a solid and measurable PR strategy that aligns with business goals and Americas Communications strategy, and keeps our organization relevant—across both traditional and non-traditional media.
Oversee the priorities and work of the region's external PR firm.
Manage social media for the Washington-Baltimore market, including running regional social media accounts, implementing our Social Seller strategy, and integrating social media and PR strategy.
Actively engage with our professionals and leaders, to help media become a tool that positions them as expert and thought leaders in the market.
Foster strong and lasting reporter relationships across relevant media, and maintain ongoing dialogue that leads to opportunities for our organization and our professionals.
