AFTER SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: General reception and administrative support only reflect a portion of this position as you work with faculty, parents and our students. You create positive energy in the lobby each afternoon. You work closely with the Director of Early Childhood and you provide support and administrative assistance to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
Reception -Greet all visitors and direct them accordingly -Answer phone. Respond to and redirect emails and phone calls ? Help Maintain lobby appearance -Help Support maintenance of bulletin boards -Serve as vendor liaison during afternoon deliveries Sort and distribute external and interoffice email
Classroom Floater and Support -Support the classroom learning during the regular school day -Assist with classroom coverage as needed throughout the school -This support role would function between the hours of 10:00 - 2:00pm
General Administrative Support -Update Database as needed -Fill out After School Program drop- in forms -As needed, help Assistant to the Directors with Administrative Support
Programmatic Administrative Support
-Update Birthday lists-Help to maintain emergency binder, student emergency cards, and classroom backpacks -Help to maintain student files, including academic records, permission sheets, immunization and emergency records
Directors of Elementary Support -Assist with projects as needed -Proofread letters and reports as needed
-BA/BS degree required (Majors in the field of education preferred) -Minimum 1 year working in an educational or non profit setting -Understanding of and commitment to multi- age learning environments -Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community ? Commitment to professional development and best practices in education
