AECI is seeking applicants for a Senior Plant Manager at the New Madrid Power Plant. This position has overall leadership responsibility for plant functions including the operations team, coal yard, maintenance departments (mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation), maintenance planning, results/laboratory, training, administration, and warehouse.
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Power Production/Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Plant Manager achieves continuous improvements in the areas of safety, employee training, energy production and plant availability through both short and long-range planning.
The Senior Plant Manager will help shape, align, and execute the organization's mission, vision and strategic objectives for success as the operational level; and guides operational managers by coaching, mentoring, and building relationships.
This leadership role will work with employees and leaders at other AECI locations, including the Thomas Hill Energy Center and Headquarters location in Springfield, Missouri, to foster partnerships across the organization, support projects, and champion initiatives. This position will have primary oversight of the plant's annual capital, operating, and maintenance budgets. Travel requirements are expected to be approximately 25%.
A Bachelor of Science degree in a related field is preferred. Qualified applicants will possess at least 10 years of progressive management and proven leadership experience at an operational level.
A solid understanding of plant operations and maintenance is required, as well as previous experience exemplifying outstanding communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with others at all levels in the organization.Demonstrated ability to bring innovation, champion change, foster teamwork and achieve results while maintaining a high standard of integrity is essential.
