The City of Waco is seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer with substantial experience in vertical construction. The ideal candidate will be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines and assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and by established standards and guidelines. A candidate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with City employees, officials, and representatives from other local, state, and federal agencies is desired.
The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, business administration, public administration, or a related field and must have seven years of facility maintenance and vertical construction management experience, including supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills will be considered. A valid Texas driver’s license and registration as a Professional Engineer by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers are required.
