Reporting to the Global Benefits Director, the Sr Benefits Consultant will support strategy development, design, implementation, communication, administration, and governance of all health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs for Fortive and its subsidiary businesses. This role will ensure all programs align with corporate business objectives and are fully compliant with local legal and regulatory requirements. This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with Human Resources, Finance, Communications, and Legal partners to understand business issues and collectively develop effective business solutions.
Support the development and maintenance of the global benefits strategy related to health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs that is fully aligned with the objectives of the business plan, is fiscally responsible, market competitive, and supports the attraction and retention of high performing talent.
Oversee the efficient and effective implementation, communication, administration, and governance of all health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs.
Support the design and implementation of corporately aligned and locally relevant international benefits programs in collaboration with local market leadership.
Monitor the effectiveness of existing health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs, policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending plan revisions, as well as new plans, in support of the strategic objectives and evolving external environments.
Ensure the capability to monitor local market trend information to ensure benefits programs are competitive and responsive to both the strategic plan and local market needs.
Support the communication of benefits programs to ensure understanding by employees.
Manage benefits vendor relationships (inclusive of insurance companies, third-party administrators, law firms, etc.) negotiate services and manage costs.
Ensure strong governance and compliance of all benefits programs, including international programs in collaboration with local market leadership.
Provide expert subject matter advice and involvement in support of M&A and divestiture activities.
Implementation of continuous improvement of benefits processes under Fortive Business Systems (FBS).
Support other benefits program design and administration efforts as needed.
BA/BS in related field.
5+ years experience managing the design and administration of health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs.
Subject matter expert in health and welfare, life and disability, and retirement programs.
Experience implementing change in a dynamic, multi-business, global environment.
Exceptional analytical, executive engagement, and presentation skills.
Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization and prioritization capability.
Excellent interpersonal, influence, facilitation and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the most senior levels in the organization.
Possess a high level of integrity and ethics
Project management experience in planning, leading, and managing critical benefits initiatives.
Experience with international benefits; has operated effectively across geographies, cultures and organizational boundaries.
Direct global M&A experience, including due diligence and integration for M&A transactions.
