Our client, a leader in the Energy Solutions industry, is actively seeking a Field Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in the South Hills area. This role will primarily be responsible for installing our client’s equipment throughout the United States.
Commissioning/de-commissioning, testing and troubleshooting our client’s proprietary monitoring equipment while operating safely and confidently in heavy industrial environments including power plants and refineries.
Performing hands-on, manual labor while setting up and tearing down the monitoring systems which will require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Heavy travel (at least 75%) throughout the U.S. with possible international travel.
Provide remote assistance to customers via telephone and email when not on-site.
Assist in manufacturing/assembly/testing/R&D at home office.
Complete online forms related to daily safety reports, equipment performance, failures and locations in an accurate and timely manner for safety and quality assurance.
Effectively communicating with other personnel, contractors and other site operations/engineering personnel.
Training end-users on client’s equipment.
Accurately and timely completing timesheets and expense reports.
Liaison between the customer/field and production/QA to continually improve our clients products.
Basic conceptual understanding of electricity, acid/base chemistry, thermodynamics, mechanical engineering and controls.
Proficient use of Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams/drawings (P&ID).
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport is required.
PLC programming and computer networking experience.
