A Truck Driver – Class A delivers merchandise to customers in a safe and courteous manner, always maintaining a professional attitude. Informs supervisor via daily calls on matters related to customer needs and other information that is needed to improve customer relations.
Provides assistance in warehouse area as needed and helps in the inventory process as requested.
Operates a commercial motor vehicle on a prescribed route to perform the pickup and delivery of merchandise to customers, picks up transformer units for repair and assists with the unloading of the merchandise.
Abides by all state and federal D.O.T. and local regulations and maintains accurate records and log books.
Maintains a professional manner and conducts business in a manner that is conducive to the image of the organization.
*As a condition of employment, this position does require successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment Fitness for Duty test.
High school or GED, plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DOT Certified or be able to qualify for certification
Valid Class A CDL
Safe Driving Record
Knowledgeable of all state laws and Federal DOT regulations that pertain to the operation of commercial vehicles
Ability to work additional hours if necessary, as well as report to work during non-working periods
Ability to handle necessary stress and work reasonably well with others are essential functions of this position.
Familiar with OSHA regulations that pertain to Warehousing
Familiar with freight manifest and other shipping documents
Experience Operating and Maintaining knuckle boom crane
Assembly experience within warehouse
