The J.P. Morgan APAC Compliance Practices Department is seeking a Vice President with excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to join its Policies, Procedures and Legal Obligations team. The Vice President will work closely with Core Compliance, Line of Business, and Country Compliance personnel on drafting, maintaining and revising policies, procedures, manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures. The Vice President will also manage the on-going Office of Legal Obligations commitments on behalf of APAC Compliance, ensuring appropriate review of Legal Obligations as they are updated through co-ordination of APAC Compliance efforts, and in conjunction with partners in APAC Oversight and Control, and APAC OLO Legal. The Policies, Procedures and OLO team supports businesses across the Corporate & Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, and Asset and Wealth Management, and each of its business-aligned Compliance teams.
The Vice President will:
Review, draft and assist in implementation of policies and procedures;
Coordinate with associates within the APAC Compliance Department in connection with the publication of policies and procedures;
Manage the APAC Compliance-owned policies and procedures on the firm's Policy Portal;
Partner with Global Compliance to provide employees with reliable and user-friendly access to Compliance content, to update online Compliance materials, and in any continuous improvement initiatives;
Manage the on-going review of APAC Legal Obligations as they are updated;
Produce metrics and create summaries of Policies, Procedures, and Legal Obligations; and
Provide additional support to the APAC Compliance Practices team, as needed.
A minimum of 7-8 years of professional work experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Must be comfortable presenting to, and working and partnering with people at all levels of management and across all functional areas
Team player with ability to build strong relationships - proven flexibility, adaptability and reliability
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong analytical skills, judgement and energy/enthusiasm
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Awareness of the APAC regulatory environment
Legal or Compliance experience, experience working at a financial institution, and/or knowledge of securities law are preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
