Program Director for Graduate Programs in Business
REPORTS TO: Vice Provost for Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS)

JOB SUMMARY The Program Director for Graduate Programs in Business provides oversight, administration, and accountability for MBA, MBA Healthcare, and MSM programs at all SNU locations as well as online. Responsibilities include development and implementation of all policies for graduate students in Business, review and continuous improvement of program curricula, and collaboration with faculty in the School of Business concerning accreditation standards as well as other matters of the School.
Establish and maintain relationships with Graduate Business students to exemplify the motto “Character, Culture, Christ” as well as fulfill SNU’s mission to make Christ-like disciples in higher education.
Develop community relationships to further the mission of the program; actively promote the program within the business community.
Lead all faculty and staff within Graduate Business programs.
Collaborate with Director of Faculty and Curriculum to recruit and hire qualified adjunct faculty.
Evaluate faculty performance.
Collaborate with Director of Faculty and Curriculum to continuously improve curriculum.
Carry teaching load of 3 credit hours per semester.
Coordinate and oversee assessment of learning outcomes for all Graduate Business programs/courses.
Conduct program review on a 5-year cycle. As a component of program review, survey graduates and alumni on issues of quality, satisfaction, and employment outcomes.
Ensure adherence to accreditation standards.
Serve on various campus committees including Graduate Council and Professional and Graduate Studies Program Directors’ Committee.
Review application information of prospective students and make/approve acceptance decisions.
Meet regularly with class representatives.
Foster a graduate culture within programs to encourage faculty and student scholarship.
Participate in cohort organizational meetings.
Collaborate with Faculty Resource Center to meet academic technology needs of programs.
Oversee monitoring of student progress, absences, etc. Approve academic/administrative withdrawals. Counsel students where necessary.
Oversee administration of policies and procedures.
Maintain catalogue information for related programs.
Submit an annual faculty activity report to Vice Provost/Dean.
Collaborate with Director of Marketing regarding marketing needs of programs.
Visit each cohort group regularly to maintain relationships and ensure program needs are being met.
Maintain program operational budgets.
Other duties as assigned.
Terminal degree in a Business discipline
