The Team: The Internal Audit Project Assurance Team is responsible for conducting ongoing, independent assessments of key S&P Global projects from initiation through the post-implementation phase. We evaluate the project's governance structure, project management processes, and the project team's effectiveness at managing the risks and dependencies that can impact successful project delivery. We provide real-time observations on project performance to the project leads and work with them to identify and implement action plans on improvement areas. We provide regular and on-demand updates and reports to Internal Audit, Global Risk Assurance, S&P Global senior management, Audit Committee and Ratings Boards.
The Impact: The Internal Audit Quality Assurance Project Manager will provide essential information on how the company is executing on select high-priority strategic projects, and provide real-time and ongoing feedback on how well the project is performing. As an outcome, senior management and project leaders will be in position to make the appropriate changes and preventive actions before a risk arises that could jeopardize project success.

Work with Project Leaders to create structured and time-bound action and risk mitigation plans, and monitor them through closure and completion
Work on special Internal Audit Project Assurance projects and process improvement efforts
Assist the Project Assurance Director in preparing regular and on-demand reports, dashboards and scorecards on project assurance engagements for Internal Audit, S&P Global Senior Management, Audit Committee and other key stakeholders
Use project management knowledge and expertise to develop and continuously improve the Internal Audit project assurance program
5 years plus of Project Management experience in financial services or technology industry preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and / or relevant experience managing large, transformational IT projects
Demonstrated experience leading Agile and Waterfalls projects with proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully
Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate across various organizational teams, both technical and business focused, with people from an array of cultural backgrounds
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written, verbal and negotiating skills
Strong accounting and reporting knowledge and or experience
Big 4 or consulting experience preferred
Bachelors in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related technical fields preferred
