CBRE Energy & Sustainability Director, Sustainability Consulting Services Sustainability Projects
Oversee LEED program management group
Participate in updating and revising CBRE's proprietary documentation as required to meet USGBC standards
Provide technical and strategic advisement to CBRE client accounts as required
Lead consulting engagements to develop sustainability business plans and related change management support for corporate clients i.e., ESG strategies, Health and Wellness programs, GRESB reporting, etc...
Develop strategies and initiatives to help clients achieve sustainability goals by identifying the client needs in resource efficiency, carbon management, employee engagement, landlord/supplier sustainability, and technology/skills development.
Develop specific initiatives and determine the costs and benefits of these initiatives. (some of this work would require collaboration with technical engineering staff)
Hire and train staff as needed
Serve as Single Point of Contact with assigned clients
Work with CBRE Property Management, Project Management, Global Workplace Solutions, CBRE I Heery, CBRE I ESI, and CBRE ACS to develop business prospects
Assist in development of new offerings for CBRE Sustainability Consulting Services
Participate in Global Workplace Solutions, Advisory and Transaction, Property Management, and Project Management new business presentations as required
Develop new business by cultivating leads from outside opportunities and from CBRE colleagues
Energy & Sustainability - Miscellaneous
Serve on USGBC regional and national committees and other sustainability organization committees as deemed appropriate
Public-facing contact for sustainability activities, including representing the company in public forums i.e., appropriate Green conferences and events
Remain current on legislation, trends, news and other information that may impact sustainability efforts
Organize project work (e.g., developing a work breakdown structure and assigning resources to deliverables) and drive complex projects from start to completion with an approach that helps transfer knowledge to clients, is collaborative with clients, and comes across with personal authority
Assist in development of annual revenue, cost, and profit goals for Sustainability group.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 10 years industry experience either in the corporate environment or as a consultant in sustainability management services. Any similar combination of education and experience
Proven Experience with LEED EBOM USGBC rating system
LEED AP O+M designation required
Knowledge of certification principles and concepts such as: WELL, BREEAM In-Use USA, Fitwel, TRUE Advisor, Living Building Challenge, ParkSmart, PEER, ENERGY STAR
Knowledge of sustainability principles and concepts, and environmental management systems such as: Green Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the Global Reporting Initiative, and the Carbon Disclosure Project.

Ability to manage complex tasks concurrently, and establish priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
