Sseeking line technicians / journeyman linemen to join our team. Must have the physical ability/agility for extended periods of standing, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and lifting (up to 100 lbs.) Must be knowledgeable of the National Electrical Safety Code; knowledge of RUS Specifications regarding line construction and maintenance, desirable. Must have detailed knowledge of all safety requirements of the work being performed. Must have experience in overhead and underground construction and maintenance. Must be able to work in severe weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat and cold). Must be able to carry out instructions, meet work schedules, and exchange work information as necessary to expedite workflow. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and be able to communicate via radio and telephone. Must be able to work under pressure and deal with people under difficult circumstances. Must have a good aptitude for math. Must be able to work overtime when necessary and accept call-outs after regular working hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and during emergencies. Must be able to travel, participate in designated training programs and maintain good attendance/punctuality record. Candidate may be asked to demonstrate their ability to climb poles and perform work off hooks in addition to performing aerial lift work.
