The Dublin San Ramon Services District is an independent special district founded in 1953. Serving more than 178,000 people, the District provides potable and recycled water service to Dublin and the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon; wastewater collection and treatment to Dublin and southern San Ramon; and wastewater treatment to Pleasanton (by contract). The District also operates water recycling and wastewater disposal systems owned through regional partnerships.
For fiscal year 2018, the District had 121 full-time-equivalent positions and an operating budget of $63 million. The capital improvement budget for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 totals $66 million and includes 64 projects. By 2027, Dublin San Ramon Services District is planning to invest
$176 million to serve a rapidly growing customer base, rehabilitate or replace existing water and wastewater infrastructure, and develop alternative water supplies in collaboration with other Tri-Valley agencies.
Under general direction of the Engineering Services Manager, the Planning & Permitting Supervisor (Associate/Senior Engineer – Supervisory) will plan, organize, and provide direction and oversight of the Planning & Permitting Division. There is a total of eleven (11) staff in the division. The Supervisor directs and oversees the development of water demand and wastewater flow projections; the development of infrastructure masterplans; the review, permitting and inspection of water and wastewater infrastructure for development; the permitting and inspection of recycled water use; and the District backflow prevention program.

Represents the District with developers, contractors, professional organizations and other governmental agencies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field and three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience, including at least one (1) year of lead supervision and one (1) year of demonstrated project management experience in the design and construction of water, wastewater and recycled water systems. A Master’s degree in engineering, business, or public administration, or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required professional engineering experience.
Possession of a Class C Driver’s License. Possession of valid registration as a Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, and/or other Professional Engineer as issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The base salary for this position is $134,088.00 - $179,268.00 annually.
