An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned researcher to join the Executive Search team on a 12 month FTC.
The organisation is embarking on a significant transformation programme which will create a more capital-efficient and customer-focused business, targeting growing demand for comprehensive financial solutions.
To support the transformation programme and future growth, a combined Resourcing function has been created, focusing on the delivery of top talent, at all levels, for today and for the future for M&G Prudential.
As the team researcher, you will be responsible for building market and competitor intelligence to support new business initiatives, as well as the identification and approach of external talent for immediate hiring requirements, talent pipelining and succession planning / risk purposes. You will also provide support and oversight on processes are that led by external search firm providers.
Help facilitate senior level hiring across M&G Prudential;
Work in support of the team to deliver end-to-end senior level searches across the business, particularly with respect to the sourcing and direct approaching of potential candidates;
Foster a collaborative relationship with senior stakeholders, including Executive Committee members, to understand likely areas of growth or challenge from a talent perspective;
Build talent pipelines for future requirements, whilst harnessing the networks of senior stakeholders to increase knowledge of external markets and potential talent therein;
Conducting leadership/key person external succession planning;
Provision of competitor and market insight to support emerging business needs;
Provide oversight on processes that are outsourced to executive search firm suppliers. Assist with the identification and choice of supplier and negotiation of fee terms, ensuring that standard T&Cs are put in place with preferred firms;
Work closely with external suppliers/partners to ensure that the business has a diverse candidate slate on all search mandates;
Play a central role in project workstreams to help drive and deliver the future resourcing function objectives for continuous improvement. Work closely with the business to ensure diversity of thought.
You will have:
Relevant degree or professional qualification; or relevant work experience evidenced through delivery and results in a similar role.
A strong track record delivering financial services executive research, gained either with an in-house team, or as a researcher with an executive search firm;
Senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at executive level across a wide range of business areas;
Proven track record of managing all aspects of the search process and, in particular, the proactive sourcing of candidates;
Knowledge of research processes including succession planning and talent pipelining would be desirable, as would the ability to train and develop others in this space;
Be able to assess the suitability of senior candidates
The ability to communicate effectively and influence people at all levels;
Enthusiasm and energy/drive;
Integrity and an ability to work confidentially;
An enquiring style, bright and analytical;
Excellent project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple projects at the same time;
Strong quality orientation, an eye for detail, constantly strives for improvement.
