Primary focus will be to drive new product development strategies and innovation for the ICB-Infrastructure for the Architecture Business that provide alignment with Essential Components, Smart Machines, the Connected Enterprise and related Rockwell Automation initiatives to meet goals of profitable revenue and market share growth. The position will be directly responsible for driving the innovation process with product managers and portfolio engineers to create differentiation in I4A Business products and their development roadmaps.
Excellent commercial, technical and collaboration skills are required to successfully initiate and drive portfolio development over a multi-year planning period. Extensive knowledge of industrial automation industries, customer needs, market trends and partner/channel requirement are all necessary skills to advance the I4A portfolio performance. Key activities include working with product managers, portfolio engineers, sales personnel, customers and distributors to solve customer needs and requirements to get better results quickly through innovative product solutions and ease of doing business.
Generate and manage key innovation activities for the I4A Business that stimulate creativity and problem solving based on customer feedback and technical capabilities
Guide product managers through the innovation process so that product roadmaps are stretched to imagine a different future
Assist in the development of individual product portfolio reviews with ICB management and coordinate with the business manager to develop an overall I4A Business review that ensures alignment with overall Rockwell Automation business strategies
Drive cross company alignment and collaboration with other portfolio and business managers to accelerate innovation within ICB and more broadly with other Rockwell business segments
Liaison with Global Marketing for cross-business marketing activities
Provide guidance to product management and project delivery teams in the following areas:
Technical knowledge and trends
Lead the development of a portfolio strategy and voice of customer activities
Customer centric, problem solving orientation
Self-starter with high energy and positive attitude
Communication and soft skills necessary for the development and management of critical business relationships, both internal and external
Organizational and decision-making skills necessary to manage competing priorities

Review development project proposals, timelines and plans for alignment with portfolio strategies and customer requirements; conferring with management.
Explore and assist with development of new/changing business models for long term success of portfolio
