The Director of Day Student Admission reports to the Director of Admission and Enrollment. The responsibilities include oversight of the annual day admission process and the day-to-day office operations, assisting in financial aid budgeting and representing SEM in the community and at recruitment events.
This is a 12-month position which may require 6 days-a-week during the peak admission cycle, Thanksgiving, winter break, and spring vacations. Some travel may also be necessary. Occasional teaching will be allowed as determined by the Head of School. Vacations are taken as the schedule permits.
Serve as Chair of the day student admission committee
Help strategize the development of marketing materials that meet measurable objectives and support admission
Help determine enrollment goals for each year and create an annual plan and strategy to reach established enrollment goals.
Work with other admission personnel to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the
Track the progress of admitted students to determine if the Admission and Financial Aid Committee decisions are validated by the enrolled students’ performance and
Manage the student ambassador program (Red Key).
Plan, manage, and participate in admission events.
Professional and Personal Qualifications
The Director should be an experienced admission professional who will bring warmth and optimism about SEM's current position and its future by looking for and creating opportunities for SEM recruitment. The ideal candidate is willing to make needed changes that are tempered by the importance of taking the necessary time to observe and appreciate the system that is already in place. The minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
