This position will be responsible for the annual budget, long range financial forecast and regulatory financial filings and activities. It will be responsible for financial analysis required to evaluate various projects throughout the company and coordinate long term debt management. It will also aid in providing complete and accurate financial records and reports in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures and the uniform system of accounts for the utility industry.
Ensure the completion of required financial analysis on various projects throughout the company and assist management in the evaluation of project proposals.
Coordinate the development of the annual operation and capital budgets. Monitor the analysis of actual results against budget and report variances for DEA budget.
Responsible for ensuring the completion of month-end duties including: the analysis and preparation of journal entries for kWh Sales, Power Cost Adjustment, Conservation Cost and Property Tax Tracking, Transportation and Vehicle costs, and others.
Responsible for the ten-year financial forecast.
Coordinate and/or complete all regulatory financial filings including, but not limited to, the Resource & Tax Adjustment Filing, Annual Conservation reporting, and Annual Report of Power Cost Information.
Ensure reporting requirements are met for Public Utilities Commission, Department of Commerce, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Coordinate long term debt management.
Directly supervise the Analyst position
Four - year degree in Business or Finance.
A four-year degree in another area, plus appropriate financial experience may be substituted. An MBA is strongly preferred.
Five to ten years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and other financial functions in progressively responsible levels, including management of finance or accounting staff.
We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
