The Junior Risk Officer position is part of the RISQ Governance & Compliance team within the Chief Operating Officer (COO) department in New York. The COO team provides transversal support to the different teams within the Americas Risk Management Division (i.e. credit, market, liquidity, enterprise,..). The RISQ Governance and Compliance risk officer, under the supervision of the RISQ COO, performs a critical second line of defense role. The risk officer will be responsible for executing the executing a risk-based control testing of permanent supervision controls and enhance the control library with RISQ. Additionally, the risk officer will be responsible for the maintenance of all test reports and aggregate test results across various testing teams. The risk officer's day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting in preparing for regulatory exams and MRA documentation as necessary;
Management of transversal projects linked to the control testing framework within RISQ;
Assisting in maintaining the sustainability of MRA and action plan execution;
Assisting in the development of the MRA documentation for the Remediation Committee;
Executing the quality control program of the RAS and FCM metrics as necessary;
Executing the risk-based reviews of the permanent controls within RISQ function;
Preparing a report for each control review to summarize the results of control testing and any recommendations for improvement;
Tracking and follow-up on the issued recommendations
Maintaining the library of permanent controls as necessary; and
Maintaining the monthly control test report to be distributed to the senior management within the Risk organization

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE Required:
At least 3 years of control function, risk management or relevant regulatory experience in financial services
Experience with banking and market products, risk methodologies, practices and procedures
Testing/monitoring or internal audit experience
EDUCATION Required: BS in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or other relevant field Desired: FRM or other advanced degree preferred LANGUAGE Required: English
