POSITION OVERVIEW As the Director of Talent for our client, you will be a key driver for impact and change on this journey of growth and success. You will be responsible for leading our talent acquisition strategy globally for the corporation and for talent management across the corporation. You’ll function as an internal entrepreneur, shaping the future of this market leading corporation driving best practices into this entrepreneurially spirited and private equity backed corporation.
In this mission critical role, you’ll continue to drive the progressive culture of the corporation with the freedom to act, a passion to win and team collaboration. You’ll be instrumental in the creation, development and execution of innovative recruiting strategies that strengthen organizational capabilities to ensure our business leaders have the talent to successfully implement business objectives. You will partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders to analyze business goals, identify talent needs and/or gaps associated with those goals, and develop and implement programs and services to find the right talent. Leading the talent acquisition team and talent management, you will have the responsibility for recruiting strategies, talent/succession plan execution; sourcing and acquisition strategies; recruiting tools and processes; and talent pipelines. The successful candidate will also be a key contributor to the development of our global Employer Branding, Recruiting and Succession Planning and will build robust Talent Management programs within the corporation. TALENT ACQUISITION AND RELATED • Effectively provide companywide leadership, direction and hands on effectiveness to the comprehensive talent landscape for this growing corporation: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Recruiting and delivering key strategic performances on plans and initiatives for the business. • Create, develop and implement consistent recruitment processes to align with the global model, for this manufacturing and distribution focused corporation across the globe with special emphasis on North America, including Mexico. • Direct, manage and oversee full global life-cycle talent acquisition process across the corporation and divisions. • Building and executing a technology strategy that supports an effective and efficient recruiting process, employment branding and leverages social media to attract the best talent; • Consults with business leaders to initiate and develop in-depth and innovative talent acquisition strategies and plans to fill position vacancies or to provide guidance and subject matter expertise for future talent acquisition planning. • Ensure company standards are identifying, attracting and hiring the highest caliber of talent, and using the most effective recruitment, selection and employer branding processes, tools and technologies. • Implement recruitment strategies to ensure a steady talent supply and support the current and future business needs • Builds partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure clear recruitment solutions and strategies are in alignment with the business needs; • Consults with business leaders to initiate and develop in-depth and innovative talent acquisition strategies and plans to fill position vacancies or to provide guidance and subject matter expertise for future talent acquisition planning. • Strategic recruiting includes complex senior and/or business-critical hiring, with the emphasis on strategic pipelining and direct sourcing; • Analyzes success against metrics and creates and executes plans to achieve ongoing improvement in results that will reduce unwanted turnover in the business • Develop cost-effective, high-impact solutions that address business needs (short and long term). Achieve maximum ROI for the investment in recruitment sourcing and hiring of key talent. • Proactively control expenses, increase value, and promote highly effective recruiting practices ensuring effective and efficient use of resources. • Assures legal compliance with all policies and laws related to employment and practices. • Oversees regional global mobility processes such as expatriates and relocation. • Coordinate college and Intern recruiting programs; develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants; Arrange on-site campus visits, promotions, schedule, candidate follow-up, etc.
TALENT MANAGEMENT • Define and operationalize an overall Talent Management strategy for the company which proactively creates expectations and processes to drive a consistent, quality experience across recruiting, onboarding, training, and development • Collaborate with HRBPs to design and implement a talent development strategy that addresses workforce capabilities, drives performance management and enhances leadership bench strength to support a growing global business and a diverse high performing culture • Provide expert consultation and oversight for the development and alignment of core development offerings, technical training & certifications, management training and leadership development • Develop and implement a consistent philosophy, approach and model for effective change management across the organization. • Lead the development, maintenance and administration of systems and tools to support talent acquisition and development, along with a variety of talent metrics which provide ongoing current state statistics and future trends and projections • Lead development of succession planning processes that drive talent mobility, development and promotions. • Partner with the Compensation Committee to define and develop career ladders for all functions and formalize job families and documented career paths.

REQUIREMENTS • Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skills and will bring substantive experience (7-10 years or more in a similar role) within a manufacturing/distribution world-class high-performance organization with proven leadership skills developed across large, vibrant teams in a similar footprint. • University degree from an accredited institution in human resources, business studies or similar. Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s Degree is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships successfully with all levels within an organization in a global environment and strong track record of delivering innovative and business focused solutions; • High energy and excellent communication skills for working with executive leadership, senior management, peers and technical teams, you’ll demonstrate the highest level of integrity and trust in all aspects of the role and be able to adjust to changing priorities-- ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
