As a Senior Manager in Strategy, you'll be part of a diverse, wider team and will be directly working with our clients on complex strategic projects. Strategy at EY
You will be joining Advisory Strategy in the UK, a growing team of around 70 consultants solving complex business problems for the C-suite of global organisations across a range of sectors. We pride ourselves in delivering "Strategy with an Execution Edge"; we frequently help clients define their future direction and support them throughout the transformation required to achieve their goals - using the wealth of specialist colleagues from across EY to support as needed.
You will be part of a team operating predominantly with corporates - across sectors including Retail, Consumer Products, Life Sciences, TMT, Industrial Products, Automotive, Energy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure.
Examples of projects you will typically be involved in are: Innovation Strategy - how organisations react to and create disruption; Growth Strategy - where and how to win by considering footprint and market entry; Strategic Performance Improvement - enabling business vision and strategy through operating model design; and Performance Improvement Diagnostics - identifying opportunities for cost optimisation, structural change, and growth.
As a Senior Manager, you'll typically be responsible for leading our largest client projects , shaping the deliverables , client relationships, and wider team, with the support and coaching of our directors and partners.
You'll also be involved in developing proposals and bids, and actively contribute to EY thought leadership and internal operational initiatives .
This will include:
Managing an engagement team of between 3 - 15 Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers
Owning relationships with key client stakeholders
Day-to-day lead on client engagements, ensuring EY is delivering high quality output for the client
Engaging with client sponsor(s) on content and process throughout the engagement
Shaping and developing the engagement output - proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel
Creating an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements
Developing our business - identifying opportunities within existing clients and driving sales activity
Working closely with wider EY teams - across Advisory, Tax, Transactions and Assurance to bring the best of the firm to our clients
Developing a community within the team - owning / developing an offer, or other internal practice build initiatives such as Learning, Operations, Resourcing, Recruitment, etc.
Counselling a number of Senior Consultants to provide career direction and advice
We are looking for exciting candidates to join our team with the required characteristics:
A minimum of 7 years working experience
Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) sector focus
A strong strategy consulting background, including operating model, growth strategy and cost reduction offerings
Both quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
Clear and concise communications skills
Leadership and inclusive team working skills
A drive to solve complex problems with senior stakeholders
Educated to bachelors degree level or equivalent
