The Sr. Strategic Risk Management Analyst acts as a resource to the Financial Management department and other business areas regarding best practices related to enterprise risk and COSO compliance. The Sr. Strategic Risk Management Analyst will facilitate, report, and monitor on enterprise risk and fraud assessments to various business areas and senior management. The successful candidate will collaborate with other departments in identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting on organizational risk. This person will assist in the design and delivery of educational, training, or other materials across the lines of defense, aids the external auditor throughout the audit process, and supports other key initiatives within the ERM group or other risk management roles as needed.
Develops and facilitates enterprise risk and fraud assessments for key business areas.
Analyzes the results of the assessments to determine Bank-wide themes and report the results of the assessments to the Risk Management Committee.
Periodically tracks and reports on the progress of stated risk mitigation action plans.
Supports business areas in understanding risk management and provides ad hoc training.
Assists the Secretary of the Risk Management Committee, including monitoring and facilitating discussions on top bank risks and presenting on risk related topics.
Works with business area management to carry-out the reliance letter and assertion letter process.
Collaborates with external auditors throughout the audit process, including managing outstanding audit requests.
Routinely serves on District and System-level enterprise risk related projects and initiatives.
Develops, recommends and implements controls and cost-effective approaches to minimize the organization's risks effects.
Identifies and analyzes potential sources of loss to minimize risk and estimates the potential financial consequences of an occurring loss.
Assesses and communicates information regarding business risks with functions across the organization
Diagnoses significant, unusual, and emerging risks to which the business is exposed

Knowledge of risk management practices and processes and/or operational control principles
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers as well as various levels of management and staff
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or other business related field of study
Three years of relevant professional experience evaluating organizational risk, performing management testing or audit field work relating to financial and technology controls
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above
WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS:
M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; hours may vary due to assignments/attendance; 5% travel may be required. General office working environment.
This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.
