Huitt-Zollars' Seattle, Washington Office has a full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer. The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington with transportation design experience including site design, drainage, and track design and post design construction services. The role works in a collaborative team environment on transportation, transit, and public works projects primarily in Seattle with opportunities to work on projects for other HZ offices. Serve as lead project engineer coordinating with EITs, designers and drafters.
Interact with clients and contractors.
Design and produce construction plans specifications and estimates.
Review shop drawings and facilitate the construction administration process.
Perform field observations to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Develop project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects.
Complete projects within client specifications, budgets and schedules.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Registered Professional Engineer in Washington
Minimum 5 years of engineering design experience in site development, drainage, rail tack design and post design construction services for public works and transportation projects
Proficient in MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills
