Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment. May participate in sales and proposal presentations. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Viewed by customers as a consultant and performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.
Audit customer control configurations and standard operating practices.
Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other employees.
Assist with the development of scope of work, cost estimate and schedule for new projects.
Design and implement model-based control and optimization applications.
Complete functional design, development and commissioning of advanced applications.
Participate in pre-sales and marketing activities.
Successfully resolve problems on fast-track projects.
Understand and comply with customer safety and operating procedures, policies and practices.
Support review and development of training materials and other project collaterals.
Establish operational objectives and work plans.
Interactions/Management: Need to be able to multi-task and work on more than one project with different clients simultaneously. Must enjoy working in high-tech, fast-paced projects and have ability to contribute in a team environment. Excellent communication required with customers and colleagues. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways . May support sales and marketing as needed to develop business for Pavilion solutions.
Education & Experience Required:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Bachelors or equivalent degree in chemical engineering or other engineering with heavy modeling, statistics or process control focus
Experience in automation, process control and advanced model-predictive applications
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Manufacturing experience in the process industries
Up to 50% travel required.
Must comply with customer safety & health requirements including submitting to and passing drug tests, safety training, etc.
