30% Represents the LSU Assembly Center with regard to Facility logistics and usage policies when dealing with various campus departments, outside representatives, individuals, organizations, or other users of the facility, etc., for contracted events. Prepares and submits estimates of general repairs. Inspects work for completeness and quality. Supervises the repair, maintenance and renovations and energy management systems in the PMAC. Oversees the day to day operations of the PMAC. Develops and maintains strategic plan in regards to maintaining vehicles and or equipment. Coordinates and accepts deliveries to the PMAC. Fabricates and/or assembles all necessary playing surfaces, apparatuses, etc, consistent with NCAA rules and regulations.
20% Manages and directs all set-ups and breakdowns for Athletic and non-athletic events in the PMAC. Logistically prepares plans and schedules activities with Athletic and Facility Services personnel to address maintenance issues. Also can direct other crafts in regards to multi craft task in conjunction with events and/or renovation projects. Maintains accurate records of facility issues and provides monthly reports to the department head for review. Controls budget under the direction of Department Head, directs purchasing, requested and warehousing of adequate inventory of supplies, materials and equipment while maintaining detailed records of upkeep.
20% Provide direction and support to the custodial supervisor on all custodial employees and student employees. Prepares and approves timesheets for classified, student and transient employees. Provides direction to contracted services in regards to sound set-ups, custodial clean-ups, TV trucks, catering, etc.
20% Serve as the Event Manager for PMAC special events including but not limited to graduations, concerts, football game day, etc. Coordinate parking, event staffing, concessions, security, etc. with outside clients. Ensure that the PMAC is managed appropriately for each event. Prepare billing and expenses for the event and ensure it is sent to the client and the business office
5% Use Maintenance Connection and EMS for daily operations. Tasks include scheduling the PMAC, assigning work requests, tracking work orders, etc.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with five years expereience in a related field. Three years of supervisory experience.
Special or Physical Qualifications: Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays. Due to the nature of the position and/or position responsibilities this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67.
