Homer Electric Association, Inc. is accepting applications from qualified individuals to fill the position of Manager of Power Production and Dispatch. This position manages the operations and maintenance functions for all Kenai Peninsula based generation facilities owned and/or operated by the Cooperative. Works with other Railbelt utilities to secure power sales/purchases, capacity transactions, wheeling, spin, and to manage the daily/hourly energy accounting of all bulk energy transactions through Generation Dispatch. Manages compliance to Railbelt Reliability Standards for Generation Operator, Transmission Operator, and Reliability Coordinator.
Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, and have at least ten years' experience working in power plant operations, maintenance, or dispatch center. A minimum of five years of previous supervisory or management experience is also required. Experience in hydroelectric, combustion turbine and combined cycle generation desired.
