Available Position: Director of Residential Life and Auxiliary Programs Department: Residential Life Reports to: Head of School Compensation: Salary based on previous relevant experience, housing, vacation, health insurance. FLSA Classification: Exempt (Salary) Full/Part Time: Full Time (12 months) Start Date: Flexible depending on successful candidate, ideally 7/1/2020 Are you ready to lead? Does the idea of launching a new program excite you? Do you enjoy the company of middle schoolers? If so, this opportunity may be for you! Applewild School is starting a junior boarding program for 18 students in grades 5-9 in Fall 2020. This is a chance to build a program from the ground up, within an institution deeply committed to offering a small-scale junior boarding program of the highest caliber. We are seeking an empathetic and organized person to carry out these following residential life mission-critical functions:
The purpose of the Auxiliary Program to increase the school’s visibility with prospective full-time students and the broader community as well as to drive revenue generation. Essential duties and responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising of the personnel needed to run these programs. The key responsibilities related to our Auxiliary Program are as follows:

Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred -At least 5 to 10 years of teaching and/or administrative experience in a school or youth-serving organization -Understand and value the amazing developmental journey which our junior boarding students experience -Supervisory experience -Successful track record working with a wide range of people -Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach -Exceptional entrepreneurial and organizational skills -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively -High-energy and enthusiastic about working with a wide range of ages in an academic atmosphere -Clean driving record, current license and insurance and the ability to clear a CORI/SORI background check. -Physical ability to walk up steep hills with uneven terrain and stairs several times a day.
