Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) is a wholesale power agency owned by municipal electric utilities in Florida. FMPA’s mission is to provide low-cost, reliable and clean power plus value-added services for FMPA’s owner-customers that benefit their communities and customers.
We are looking for an experienced professional to fill an Energy Data Analyst role. Primary responsibilities include conducting financial and economic studies, assisting with development of load forecasts and developing and supporting resource planning studies and metrics for evaluation of commercial transactions. The position is also responsible for providing research and analysis to support the strategic direction of the Agency and communication to members when transformational changes are occurring or expected to occur within the electric industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance with coursework in Econometrics/Statistics, engineering economics, strategic planning, market research or related fields preferred
At least five years of experience in the electric power utility industry and experience working with production cost modeling or equivalent of education and experience
Strong understanding of business intelligence tools and databases
Familiarity with joint action agencies and joint ownership project arrangements
Proficient with financial analysis techniques
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of related industry, organization and department policies, practices and procedures
