Role We are seeking a quant trading associate to work within our Centralised Risk Book (CRB) team. The role will require a combination of quantitive analysis, ability to learn programming languages for data management (Q, python) and market-based acumen. The ideal candidate should have experience in either coding, trading or quantitive analysis.
Committing firm capital to facilitate client business
Analyse market impact and derive optimal liquidation approaches
Driving client commission through inventory-based IOI strategy
Risk management of Jefferies inventory on a Central Risk Book (CRB)
Design and implement hedging strategies to reduce PnL volatility on CRB inventory
Qualifications Person Specification The following skills and experience are required for this role:
Advance excel, some programming experience (ideally Python and/or Q)
Desire to learn new programming languages
Strong data manipulation and familiarity with analysing large data sets
Genuine interest in equities and financial markets
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and energy in approach to new problems
Collaborative approach to decision making together with ability to work independently
Fluency in English
