The President/CEO is responsible for the overall management of the association and assisting the Board of Directors with developing and implementing the strategic direction of the association. The position is responsible for facilitating Board and committee activities and responsibilities. The President/CEO is responsible for representing the membership with the Indiana General Assembly, state government agencies and the media. The position is responsible for collaborating and coordinating with other associations, consumer groups, and the national association LeadingAge to further the goals and mission of the association. The President/CEO serves as the Treasurer of the LeadingAge Indiana – Political Action Committee. The position is responsible for overseeing the contracts with associations managed by LeadingAge Indiana. The President/CEO is responsible for all contracts and legal services used by the association.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
Ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in aging, health care, public policy or association management.
Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding internal and external customer service and having a natural service-orientation is required.
