Eagle Hill School, an innovative and nationally renowned 8-12 boarding and day school specializing in educating students with diverse learning profiles, is seeking a talented and forward thinking Assistant Head of School for Student Life to begin on July 1, 2020. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Assistant Head for Student Life is a highly visible community leader who works closely with the Head of School to oversee the development and wellbeing of the school and its community including 225 boarding and day students. S/he will demonstrate an authentic passion for the school’s mission, play a major role in the life of the school, and be deeply involved in the day-to-day work of faculty and students.
This newest member to a highly experienced and high performing senior administrative team will have the opportunity to oversee a student life department of 25 individuals in residential life, athletics, weekends, and health services in an effort to prepare EHS’s students for college and global citizenship. The team is comprised of a Dean of Students, two Associate Deans, a Director and Assistant Director of Weekend Services, a Director of Health Services and 3 full-time nurses, 12 residential faculty, an Athletics Director and Assistant Director, as well as the Director of the Sports and Fitness Center. Within a collaborative culture, the Assistant Head of School for Student Life establishes and maintains community standards used by faculty to help students internalize the skills and aspirations necessary for their success.S/he also serves as the primary contact to parents regarding all student disciplinary matters.
Candidates with advanced degrees, experience in the boarding school setting, and strong backgrounds in administration, teaching, advising, and coaching will be preferred.
The Assistant Head of School for Student Life is responsible for the boarding program as well as overseeing programming in the 3-11pm space, and therefore the hours reflect this responsibility.

Additional Salary Information: The total compensation package for this position will include housing.
