The purpose of this position is to lead all strategic and operational aspects of the procurement function for a very large client account. The scope of responsibility includes $550M of global facilities management (FM) services. You will manage a team of 12-25 procurement people over the course of the 5-year client contract. The procurement team is accountable to deliver significant transformational savings in the range 20-30%. This position is responsible for driving innovation and significant change management within the supply chain, while maintaining world-class service levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, communicates and manages execution of sourcing and procurement strategies to support CBRE and client goals and objectives. Manages annual procurement budget and organization structure.
Sets up and follows stage-gate process for strategic sourcing projects, from market analysis through RFP events and leading to supplier negotiations and contracting.
Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers. Develops and implements nationwide strategies to optimize contract negotiations & contract renewals. Establishes supplier performance management process and conducts routine business reviews with suppliers.
Oversees and ensures attainment of client goals regarding supplier diversity, corporate social responsibility, & risk management.
Ensure adoption of best-in-class procurement systems for spend analytics, PO management, supplier screening, e-RFX events, supplier performance management, and contracting.
Prepares monthly reports of departmental activities.
Serves as principal liaison between CBRE and client sourcing, procurement, legal and risk management departments.
Manages and reports on related program KPI's and metrics.
Collaborates with Americas and Global procurement teams to leverage best-practice programs, service strategies, pricing, and systems.
Participates in and supports global and regional sourcing initiatives and processes.
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Minimum of six years of related experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility desired.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Deep experience with running strategic sourcing programs and implementing change management.
Cross-functional collaboration and communication essential to success.
Previous experience with Facility Management services, or similar services.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with e-procurement and contracts management technology platforms. Experience with standard accounting and/or ERP systems.
