Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) is a division of INFICON that makes industry-leading scheduling and visualization software to optimize semiconductor manufacturing.

As a Software Test Engineer, you are responsible for creating test plans, documenting and communicating procedures, performing manual and automated tests to support product development and deployment within the IMS group. You are responsible for ensuring quality test plans and execution for the software. You are expected to take ownership of these systems in collaboration with your manager and the Test Manager in the FabGuard group. This opportunity reports to the Director of Product Development.
Member of team responsible for building and deploying INFICON/IMS product suite
Participate in sprint planning and task descriptions
Perform manual QA on a variety of applications
Write up standardized procedures for testing in collaboration with Boston office
Hold team members accountable for adhering to standards
Establish mechanism for measuring test coverage
Automate QA functions where possible
Become an advocate for the customer regarding user experience and design
Communicate and collaborate with Boston office frequently
Required Skills and Education:
BS in computer science, information technology, engineering or other technical degree
3+ years work experience with software QA or application testing
Knowledgeable of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience using agile/scrum process to develop software. Familiarity with JIRA is a plus.
Experience with semiconductor or other industrial software a plus
Comfortable with Selenium testing or other UI test automation
Experience with Python or other scripting language for automation of tasks
Comfortable with Windows website hosting
Comfortable writing and running database queries
Effective communication: comfortable communicating and enforcing best practices
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects at the same time
Must document systems and procedures
