This Program provides a select group of highly talented undergraduate juniors an opportunity for exposure to a career in the financial services industry, to experience our corporate culture, and to learn how Wells Fargo delivers financial services to mid-sized, corporate, and other large-scale companies.
The Junior Leaders Conference is an exclusive multi-day program designed to increase your understanding of financial services and the various businesses and career paths at Wells Fargo.
A select group of high-performing students from diverse backgrounds will be invited to participate. During the conference, you will develop a deep understanding of Wells Fargo's unique culture and values, which you will experience first-hand in your interactions with our highly-talented team members. You will have an accelerated opportunity to interview with hiring managers for multiple summer internship positions across the enterprise before our spring 2021 recruiting season commences.

If selected, you will be invited to attend one of the conferences based on your regional internship placement and program or line of business preference. All travel and meal expenses will be paid by Wells Fargo.
Invitation and attendance at the conference does not guarantee a summer internship placement. Interviews for the various 2021 Summer Internship Program openings will take place at the conference.
As part of these unique programs, Junior Summer Interns will have the opportunity to:
Work in a Wells Fargo office in a major city in the U.S.
Gain early exposure to the business world
Access to a mentor who will help you determine your strengths and plan your career
Access to senior leaders who can provide support and guidance throughout the summer
Attend networking and firm-wide events that will help ensure that you are exposed to all the areas within Wells Fargo and understand the structure of a large financial services firm
Hands-on exploration of potential career path
Develop professional network and practice networking skills
Develop an understanding of how academic and professional careers relate
Participate in a number of social activities throughout the summer to help you get to know our corporate culture, interact with other summer interns, as well as participate in our team member networks
Junior Summer Interns will be placed into one of the following programs based on candidate preference and business need. The internships are non-rotational and exact day-to-day roles and responsibilities may vary based on the business and program placement.
Internship locations are available nationwide and vary by business.
Lines of Business
Below are the groups that will participate in the conference and on-site intern program interviews (Groups are subject to change):
Enterprise Risk provides effective risk oversight and decision-making across the organization. We are closely integrated with Wells Fargo businesses providing risk management and a clear engagement model that promotes challenges and the escalation of material issues and information to the right audiences. We are committed to setting a global standard in managing all forms of risk (operational, market, credit, compliance, and line of business-specific control functions, etc.) and helping to serve customers' needs while protecting their assets, information, and privacy.
Wealth and Investment Management offers a leadership development program were participants will have the opportunity to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a full-time team member, and will gain comprehensive professional and insutry experience. Over the course of ten weeks, participants will also complete a group project, gain exposure to senior leaders, participate in a community service project and benefit from coaching and performance feedback sessions. WIM interns will also participate in the Wells Fargo Corporate Internship virtual learning series. Interns will also learn how Wells Fargo serves to meet clients' unique needs and help them achieve financial goals through brokerage, comprehensive planning and advice, estate planning strategies, insurance, investment management, private banking, retirement, and trust. Our Lines of Business include: Wealth Management, Wells Fargo Advisors, Retirement, Abbot Downing, Asset Management, our Investment and Strategic Client Solutions
Financial Analyst Program (Credit and Lending Groups):
Wells Fargo Commercial Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of products and industry expertise to serve the diverse financial needs of companies with annual sales typically ranging from $5 million to $2 billion. As a leader in serving commercial customers, Wells Fargo offers financial services including credit and treasury management solutions as well as specialized expertise across industries including Technology, Food, Beverage & Agribusiness, Investor Real Estate and Government.
Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate provides financing services to real estate owners, developers, investors, and real estate investment trusts (REITs), through all stages of their growth and development, as the largest Commercial Real Estate lender in the U.S. Participating businesses can include: Real Estate Banking, Senior Housing Finance, REIT & Real Estate Capital Markets.
Wells Fargo Commercial Capital is a market leader in providing working capital, sales financing, investment capital, trust services, strategic capital, and renewables project finance serving customers through seven core businesses: Capital Finance, Commercial Distribution Finance, Equipment Finance, Renewable Energy & Environmental Finance, Specialty Finance, and Strategic Capital.
Wells Fargo Commercial Credit is responsible for overseeing the credit, model, and reputational risks associated with each of the Wholesale Banking lines of businesses. The group has oversight responsibility for all Wholesale credit decisions and portfolios. Wholesale Workout resides within Commercial Credit and works directly with Wholesale Banking lines of business to management the recovery of Wells Fargo's capital through early intervention and restructuring of distressed assets.
At the end of the summer, successful junior interns may receive an offer to join us full time after graduation.

Team Members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions cmmensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and compliance program requirements.
